Same here in Britain and I still think satsumas taste better at Christmas maybe that is just because it is traditional and yes I have bought a tray of them for Christmas.
The other day I saw and bought a yellow, smooth-skinned fruit from Israel called Sharon fruit...a bit pricey, probably from import costs, but I was curious to know what it tasted like....slightly sweet and very good!
