Bush (impeachment)motion fails at Lagunitas School Board (Marin County again)

President Bush survived an impeachment hearing this week at a meeting of the Lagunitas School Board. The board voted 2-1 in favor of impeaching Bush, but Trustee Suzi Giacomini abstained and, according to the rules of order, that equated to a "no" vote, deadlocking the panel.

Trustee Richard Sloan said he would likely bring it back for another vote after a new trustee is appointed to fill an open seat vacated by Kelly O'Conner.

Sloan said the school district needed to take on the issue because board members swear to uphold and protect the Constitution.

"I consider George Bush to be the single worst enemy against our Constitution that we've had in our whole history," he said.

Denise Santa Cruz-Bowman, who voted against the resolution, said the people she represents weren't in favor and many called to remind her the district needs to focus on school issues. She noted nobody showed up to encourage impeachment.

Funny how many former pot-smokers have joined the anti-smoking nanny state party. I don't like cigarette smoke myself, but I'm not sure we had to take a fascist attitude over it.

Then again, most so-called "liberals" are in reality fascists. Just look at Hillary Clinton. (Speaking of Her Thighness,what ever happened to the "Rodham"? She didn't drop that because she realized that outside of her connection to Bubba she'd be a nobody, did she?)

Actually, California is still worth fighting for, I don't think the state is as far gone as Massachusets and Maryland. Our biggest obstacle here to having a least a balance of power is voter fraud and gerrymandering. Once you get away from the coast, the nuttiness decreases exponentially.

I work in Marin County. I drive 1 1/2 hours each way so that I don't have to LIVE in Marin County. All the aging hippies live here. But San Francisco and Bezerkley are worse, in my opinion. Of course, both places are only 20-30 minutes away.

Uh, yeah. Lagunitas was a big pot-acid community in the 70s. Is Marin whacked? Yep. After my first was born, I knew I had to move her to safety and sanity -- out of Marin.

I grew up in Marin. I remember being able to walk down the street with a .22 under my arm and nobody thought anything of it. Not to mention being able to ride dirt bikes on the fire roads without being arrested and a whole bunch o' other stuff kids can't do (or shouldn't) these days.

OMG. I also grew up in Marin. And my very first paying job when I was almost 10 -- shooting crows with a .22. My brothers, neighborkids, and I could disappear up into the hills for days when we weren't even quite in our teens, yet. As long as we had 'ole' trusty', warm socks, a med kit, and stayed away from bulls. I've thanked my parents a zillion times for living there, for my being raised there with so much freedom and beauty.

I did. My dad was still in Marin. But as soon as I would drive across the Richmond Bridge (or Vallejo), my throat would start tightening up. Claustrophia would set in. Knowing that so many angry, hateful people now live there. People who give lip service to loving "nature" while hating the "nature" of man. brrrr.

Walnut Creek has gotten crowded too; but there's some very fine stalwart conservatives there. :)

This SCHOOL BOARD took time to try and pass a meaningless resolution of impeachment of George Bush??? Geeez. I wonder what kinds of curricula are in their schools?!?
