Theresa Marie Schindler was born to Robert and Mary Schindler on December 3, 1963. She was the first of three children the Schindlers would have.
Terri was a shy, but comical, child who had an affinity for music, animals and the arts. She kept a small circle of friends and was dear to schoolmates, neighboring families and her own extended family.
Following high school, Terri came into her own. She developed a knack for sketching and doodling. She enjoyed outings with her friends. She was an adoptive mother to the familys dog, Bucky.
Terri attended Catholic School while growing up and remained close to her faith throughout her life.
In 1983, Terri met Michael Schiavo at Bucks County Community College and the two began dating. He was the first romantic interest Terri had.
The couple was engaged within a few months and married a year later at Terris church in Southampton, Pa. She was 21.
In 1986, Terri and Michael relocated to Pinellas County, Florida and her parents followed three months later.
In 1990, at the age of 26, Terri suffered a mysterious cardio-respiratory arrest for which no cause has ever been determined. She was diagnosed with hypoxic encephalopathy neurological injury caused by lack of oxygen to the brain. Terri was placed on a ventilator, but was soon able to breathe on her own and maintain vital function. She remained in a severely compromised neurological state and was provided a PEG tube to ensure the safe delivery of nourishment and hydration.
On March 31, 2005, Terri Schindler Schiavo died of marked dehydration following more than 13 days without nutrition or hydration under the order of Circuit Court Judge, George W. Greer of the Pinellas-Pascos Sixth Judicial Court. Terri was 41.
You are behind the times. They now do it before they take a CT scan, much less a public opinion poll. I guess we will get used to it.
They evidently get something like instant custody in abuse cases. (Which seems reasonable.) Iow, the child is removed at once from the abusive parent(s), lest it be injured further. This must make it legally a ward of the state, in the care of the DSS.
Educated guess, anyway :-)

....It was becoming hip to be an evangelical Democrat. All you had to do was tell everybody that the religious right wanted to keep people hooked up to machines against their will (Terrio Schiavo) and that as an Evangelical Democrat you wanted "fewer abortions" and you were committed to stopping global warming. ....

To call Rick Santorum a rubber stamp for every dipstick policy that was squeezed out of Bush's booze-warped little brain would be a disservice to one of our most valuable cliches. He was a mechanized stamp made out of space-age alloys, applied with malice to every predictably catastrophic snafu of the past six years. Pennsylvania's now former junior senator gleefully signed off on every needless Bush disaster, from the war in Iraq to the absurdist Terry Schiavo grandstanding to the vicious bankruptcy bill that represented the greatest attack on working people since Generalissimo Franco won the Spanish Civil War.
Goodbye to Santorum... Senator McCreepy departs after an ignominious defeat.

Boston, MA (LifeNews.com) -- A black Massachusetts Institute of Technology stem cell researcher who doesn't support human cloning says he is planning a hunger strike for next February if the prestigious college doesn't reverse its decision to deny him tenure. Dr. James L. Sherley, an associate professor of biological engineering, says he is a victim of racism.
Sherley has been an outspoken advocate against human cloning -- including the kind of therapeutic cloning his colleagues and other scientists want to use to create and destroy human embryos for their stem cells.

London, England (LifeNews.com) -- New statistics from the British Department of Health show that more than 100 teenage girls every month have a second abortion and some of those girls are having a multiple abortion. The statistics show some teenagers are using abortion as a method of birth control and may prompt calls for tighter regulations.

The coroner's careful showing that Terri never had bulimia threw the whole case back to square one. Our visitors have never figured that out. If they do understand, they are guilty of the worst sort of intellectual dishonesty.
Without "bulimia" to explain Terri's so-called "collapse," we have no innocent explanation of how she ended up on the floor, almost dead, right after Michael got home. And Michael has no alibi. To side with Michael in this "family" dispute is the equivalent of siding with Scott Peterson or O.J. Simpson, and laughing at the deaths of their wives. If Michael assaulted her in 1990 -- and there is no other story now -- it is freakish to support his claims years later that she wanted to die. The murderer got a second chance to finish off his victim.
Who sides with this? The Democrat party, officially, in its talking points. The media, unofficially. And so-called right-to-die advocates.
Another point worth thinking about. Michael's $15 million malpractice suits against doctors who "failed to diagnose" Terri's bulimia were fraudulent. He knew they were fraud. He knew she didn't have bulimia (and even said so, early on). He used the money awarded for her care and her therapy to put her to death. He did that fraudulently, too.
"A picture is worth 1,000 words." These three pictures of Terri remind us that there is only one suspect in her death.
Though he did have some very willing accomplices and the media cheering them on.
Terri on the road to recovery before the second stage began.
Reminds me of Osama bin Laden moaning about the loss of Andalusia -- which is to say, the Christians kicking the Muslims out of Spain more than five hundred years ago, in 1492!
It's hard to put a chronology on "outside" events, but I'd venture that it was George Felos who took Michael's case to the media and appealed for liberal-left political support. 1998, maybe? The Left held the field before we ever got there. So, I guess you could say that we fought a lost cause from day one. But it was well worth the fight, and the ultimate victory is to Terri. Her story touched hearts all over the world. The Pope and the President both pleaded for her life. The injustice to her was written large and will never be forgotten.
Thank you for another photo with a story.
O'Connor is a PATSY. They stuck her on the Iraq Study Group because she's PATSY DAY O'CONNOR. She has no credibility and she was the worst mistake Ronnie Reagan ever made.
Here are some of the "WORKING PEOPLE" involved in the Spanish Civil War, on the Stalinist side. From Wikipedia, which lists them proudly, of course, under the heading "journalists and spies." I will include this particular list, -- there are many more names than these, -- and if some names here are unfamiliar, their links make interesting reading. These are mostly superstars of the Left, not to mention traitors like Kim Philby and suspected U.S. spy Robert Talbott Miller III:
* Ernest Hemingway * Emma Goldman (Anarchist Writer). * Ilya Ehrenburg * Samuel Krafsur * Carl Marzani * Robert Talbott Miller III * Ture Nerman (Swedish Communist leader). * Pablo Neruda * Kim Philby * Arthur Koestler * Alexander Orlov * Langston Hughes * Nicolas Guillen
There are many freeper prayer requests for their family members or even for freepers for illness, long or short term.
There is nothing wrong with encouraging ANYONE on earth to get well or to pray for their recovery.
Even certain judges need prayer because they are hell bound.
I overcame my TRAGEDY.
Terri: "Where there's life, there's hope."
Thanks, BB. My FV's mom needs prayers. I'll take thoughts and prayers from freepers, lurkers and media who've been reading my posts for years. FLORIDUH VOTER
The tabloidization of our culture has gone beyond Hollywood to D.C. and now even to the Schindlers.
Your post with Bobby Schindler's remarks is what I am backing up.
