"Neo-Nazi crime doubles in Berlin, police chief says"

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "Berlin (dpa) - The level of violent neo-Nazi crime in the German capital more than doubled over the past year, Berlin's police chief said Friday.
There were 52 reported violent neo-Nazi attacks in 2005 and this year there will be over 100, said police chief Dieter Glietsch in comments to Deutsche Presse-Agentur dpa.
Officials are alarmed by growing neo-Nazi violence. Nationwide the level of rightist crime rose by 20 per cent during the first nine months of 2006.
"This is a new development which really fuels concern," said Glietsch."

U.S. Consulate Lagos issued the following Warden Message on December 8:
The U.S. Government has received information that a militant Niger Delta group has reportedly recruited and trained militants for renewed attacks on oil installations and expatriate oil workers in the Niger Delta region. The time, place, and specific targets of the attacks are not known.
The Consulate continues to advise Americans should review their security procedures, remain vigilant to their surroundings, and report specific incidences of targeted violence to the U.S. Consulate in Lagos at 01-261-0050. You may also email the Lagos Consular Section at lagoscons2@state.gov.
Americans are encouraged to read the Department of State's August 24, 2006 Travel Warning regarding travel to Nigeria (available online at http://travel.state.gov/travel/cis_pa_tw/tw/tw_928.html) and the Worldwide Caution announcement released on June 6, 2006 (available online at http://travel.state.gov/travel/cis_pa_tw/pa/pa_1161.html).
