Robert left to return to Iraq on the 22nd, and I haven't been on the computer much lately. He's now back in the "Sandbox", and I won't suffer fools who rant like what's been posted here regarding "In God We Trust". With my son in Iraq, along with my nephew and a close friend's daughter (as well as all of our other troops) I place all my trust in our Lord to keep them safe. Raymann has the "right" to make his comments because of soldiers like my son and yours who make the sacrifices they make to keep our freedoms and liberties intact. He should just be thankful there are men and women willing to fight to allow him the "right" to say stupid things.
I know, my friend. I haven't heard from Neil in over two weeks. What's the deal with Robert having to leave the day before Thanksgiving?
I'm with you dads! I have two sons in the Army - oldest on his first deployment to the sandbox with 1st Cav and second son deploying to Afghanistan soon after the first of the year. In God's goodness, faithfulness, love and mercy I place all my trust and my sons. Without Him I'd be a complete basket case.
I followed your threads and you and your family have been in my prayers during what I know was a very difficult Thanksgiving.
It's great to see you posting! God Bless you and your family!
Thank you sir, and prayers for your son's safety! I was asked by a lot of friends how I got through my son's deployment in Iraq: God, prayers and (I'll be honest) sometimes a few glasses of Chardonnay. Prayers for you also regarding the loss of your father. God bless and may He keep Robert and all of our troops safe!
After reading your post, I just said a prayer for Robert's safety and the safety of his fellow soldiers. I'm sure this Thanksgiving was difficult enough without your Dad there, and knowing Robert was back in the "Sandbox".
I said a prayer for you too. Stay strong.
