Yes, and quite a little nutshell it is! She's distilled the challenge with absolutely crystalline clarity here - it's the only prism through which those of any race who seek true healing for the ethnic divisions in this country will ever be able to visualize a genuine, lasting solution.

i was "shocked" by my very liberal family on Thanksgiving Day... the whole Michael Richards thing came up... my very liberal family pretty much thought that too much was being made this... they said, "he apologized... what else can he do?" believe me, in the past, this would have gone a different way... they would have wanted him to pay in blood...

one extremely liberal nephew even said that he thought George Allen was treated unfairly because of the macaca thing... i think they really do see the double-standard... and they kept bringing up the double-standard... i hope this is the beginning of Americans waking up to the double-standard...
