Since the teen was also armed with muzzleloaders, I'm surprised there isn't a call for a ban on them, too.
"previous day killed himself with a gunshot in the mouth"
wow, so first he killed himself, then the next day he shot up the school? I see a zombie movie in here....
Good morning.
I read the headline and thought the Germans were planning on going after the gamers in a violent Teutonic fashion.
Never mind.

One of the problems with games is not the fighting. We are called to resist and even take up arms when necessary. Jesus told us to do so.
The problem is having the temptation to play the bad guy.
For example, if Counter Strike only allowed players to be Counter Terrorists, then the appearance of the adversary would look like terrorists. Even if the adversary is human, he is also dressed as a Counter Terrorist and he is fighting you...and you appear as a terrorist to him.
It's not confusing. You don't have the opportunity to play terrorist. Trust me about playing the terrorist side. You start to act like a terrorist. The hostages you guard become your bullet stops. And just for "fun", and if you feel the need to punish them for attempting to escape...
Yeah, kids get the wrong idea when they have the opportunity to play terrorist. What's worse is giving them "Grand Theft Auto" which is so out of bounds that I wouldn't even want adults to play this pornographic sex and violence game.
So, if there's a "cops and robbers" game to be played, don't allow the gamer to be a criminal. Any criminal psychologist would agree that unchecked fantasizing of crime will lead to actual crime.

But then again, the Counter Strike game is extremely addictive. Just watch the video (WARNING FOUL LANGUAGE...in German) and you'll understand.
Oh, and notice that he plays the terrorist.
Well they do have a storied history of being opposed to violence, a very pacifist country, that Germany.
