Yeah, I know what you're saying. My brother and I go around and around about RINOs' usefulness as "place holders" for majority status, etc. I guess I'm one of those idealists who believes that if someone isn't part of the solution, he's part of the problem. I'm also about fed up with politicians, and am ready for leaders and statesmen. It seems to me the longer we play this "half a loaf is better than none at all" game, the longer we drag out the misery. Hopefully...
hopefully...the next two years will be enough misery for the Pubbies to realize they're supposed to be the conservative party, and start acting like it again. Otherwise, there'll be more misery to come.

What you are honestly dealing with is the emotional side of all of us conservatives. We all hate RINOs and dems and what they are doing to this country. But I deal with comparative analysis as part of my job and I never forget for a minute that it can always be worse. We might face Hillary / Obama in 2008. Imagine that combo with Pelosi and radical dems running all the committees in Congress.
To: plain talk
Not only can it get worse, I don't see any way possible that it
won't get worse. I mean, come on...when was the last time you heard a Pubbie talk about actually
reducing the size of government? Even conservatives seem resigned to the fact that government is going to continue to balloon, and the only thing they can do is try to slow that growth as much as possible. The RINOs? Sheesh...they are trying to grow it almost as fast as the Rats will.
You may think of it as emotional, but I think of it as common sense. When faced with two identical outcomes, the only difference being that one party will take a bit longer to arrive at that conclusion than the other, I believe it's moronic to prolong the process. Especially when one considers that nothing will be done to change the status quo until we as a nation hit the "rock bottom" that's rushing toward us. I just don't like twiddling my thumbs waiting for the catastrophe to happen. If our fate (and I don't see any other possible fate at this point) is to collapse under the weight of so much stupidity, liberalism, dependance and wimpy pacifism, I say let's do it sooner, so we can start cleaning up the mess that much sooner.
If that's a bit emotional, well, no one's a Vulcan. Emotions are a part of us all.

Well I don't agree with your premise that its the same only one will take longer. There is indeed a difference as demonstrated by recent SC nominations and tax cuts. Those things would not have happened under a dem Congress. RINOs were useful in providing the numbers for those things to happen.
But even if you WERE right I would view it like death. It's inevitable but I prefer to defer it as long as possible.
