More than two years ago, I asked for your prayers for my son, who was undergoing treatment for a malignant brain tumor. His treatment at the time, though physically brutal, was successful. However, Austin's cancer has returned, and he will be going back into radiation and chemo soon - he had surgery last week.
This is so hard - he pretty much missed Middle School with this, and now here goes High School. Pray for him to enjoy college...
We will very much appreciate all of your prayers. Thanks you.
Pax Christi.
BUMP and MORE PRAYERS!
Praying for his full recovery. Oh, and homeschooling rocks. Maybe he can get involved via the internet with other homeschoolers when he's up to it.
Dear Jesus, Please bring extra Christmas blessings for Austin. May his chemo work quickly and thoroughly, and may his body and spirits be strong and recover full health. Amen
I just want to give you all a little bit of an update. Austin's feeling much better so far than he did the last time through chemo in 2004-05 - very little nausea. He has lost his hair already, though - his older brother and I shaved our heads, too. Sounds corny, I know. We did not do it last time, but he is older now, and was more upset about the hair loss than when he was 11. He enjoyed buzzing us.
His next treatment phase, sometime in the spring, will be much, much tougher than this one - he'll be in the hospital for at least a month.
Thank you all for your continued prayers - i know they mean a lot to Austin, and to me.
Pax Christi.
Hi, sweetheart...my best to you and your family over Christmas and New Year!
Prayers up and thoughts up!!!
Prayers up for Austin.
Thanks for the update. Prayers will continue for Austin.
I think it is cool that you and his older brother shaved your heads.
Last year I saw the father of a 5 year old with his head shaved. The love between the father and son was so apparent. It was beautiful.
BUMP & MORE PRAYERS!!!
((((HUGS)))) & Even MORE PRAYERS!!!

Remembering Austin and all of you in prayer this Christmas season.

Beautiful prayer Nancee.
While I can't express my prayer in the beautiful words you have exemplified, I to will be praying for this young man and his family.
God can even understand our moans, and groans when we aren't able to pray.
Praying for your son, and your family. Wishing you a Blessed and Merry Christmas.
INDEED!!
We need even His instruction on how to pray! (Luke 11:1)
