More than two years ago, I asked for your prayers for my son, who was undergoing treatment for a malignant brain tumor. His treatment at the time, though physically brutal, was successful. However, Austin's cancer has returned, and he will be going back into radiation and chemo soon - he had surgery last week.
This is so hard - he pretty much missed Middle School with this, and now here goes High School. Pray for him to enjoy college...

Well...it sure sounds scary, and quite technical, Austin...but, I am sure the doctors know what they are doing, and even though it will be kind of a hassle having to go to the doctor's office every day...(at least you get to be at home to watch the Super Bowl....who are you rooting for?)
The thing is, something is happening to get you on your way to the best health possible..and that is a good thing.
God be with you, Austin....and may God bring comfort to your parents, family and friends...because this is so hard for them....we all want to "fix you", you know.
Well Austin, I am gonna pray for you with all my heart...and I am sure this is going to be so great.

Our prayers will be said daily for Austin.. and for his family. We are sorry to hear of the return of the cancer. He went into remission once..... now our prayer will be for COMPLETE healing.

I'll be praying for you this evening, Austin, and will be thinking of you in the morning as I, too, am having some surgery done bright and early.
You've probably already experienced having a central line, but my prayers for a smooth and fast recovery! Go get 'em! You can do anything. :)

Lord, God,
Please hold Austin's head in your lap the whole procedure from beginning to end. Stand with him in such thick communion and intimacy that he would rather the procedure continue than it stop and your Presence lessen.
And after the procedure . . . in the hours that follow--commune with him in more detail revealing to him all that he was created for and Your good pleasure in him. Lift him up in the Heavenlies and dance with him; walk and talk with him; hold him close to your heart throughout this week and evermore, in Jesus' Name.
