" Do men really WANT or NEED to know they're being manipulated? "

It's not manipulation of the man knows! Then it's just obvious.

In the U.S. and A. it seems like guys can't say "no" to women. Many of my friends and relatives seem to do EVERYTHING their wives want and never say no. It does't matter how ridiculous the request, they just acquiese anyway.

It's easier than fighting. A disgruntled American woman only has to make an accusation of mistreatment to ruin a man. The authorities will then drag you off and rob you of everything you've worked for and place you in peonage for the rest of your life if they don't just throw you in jail.

These men are being tested, and are failing badly. And the time to start saying no is on the first date, not years into a relationship where she has gotten her way from Day One. Ask she asks for something ridiculous and you say no and she throws a fit and threatens to leave...help her pack. ;)

For both men and women in the USA, way too many relationships endure based on fear of loss. If you aren't ready to draw the line and let him or her walk away immediately when your integrity is violated, then you don't have enough self-esteem to be in a long-term relationship in the first place.
