People should not be proud that they got a nice house and had the means to pay for it???

It is a superior achievement to work and earn a living, get promoted, get raises, invest wisely and buy a big house. One should feel prettty damn good about that.

Kid,,you are a commie I do believe.

Well, my house is worth $6-8 hundred thousand, depending.

May I smoke?

Of course it's something to be proud of you dumbass. It doesn't make you better than somebody else. Surprisingly some of us find other things in life more valuable than wealth, like say God, or family, or fishing, or service, etc.
If you base your worth on how much money you bring home then you are a sorry man and I pity you because you are going to lose it all.
I'm not completely consumed with materialism and believe people are inherently valuable because they are made in the image of God, and that makes me a commie?

There's also some, and sometimes a lot of luck involved or the abscence of a lot of bad luck, something many people with big homes don't want to admit.

Lot's of people work hard and some who cannot afford the big home you have have, worked as hard or harder than you. You might want to be more sensitive to that fact.
