The Hard-core leftys' throwing their temper tantrums against these blue dogs is going to be a hoot to sit back and watch. Even in liberal, gay Vermont the people I speak too know good and well the rest of the country didn't vote FOR these idiots, but against repubs. It was WAD the TRAL, HATE Bush vote that is going to give us some serious comedic, hypocritical, and scary reality for two years!
To all you "Teach Repubs A Lesson" voters out there, I expect you to vote for CONSERVATIVES in the primaries, and to not give us a single rino! < /sarc >

In her 1st serious challenge, Pelosi got a serious smackdown.
Gotta luv it.

There really are going to be a lot of 'one-term wonders' hitting the unemployment line in Jan, 09.

Now would be a good time for a Southern Conservative to rise up from the ashes and become our next President.
Zell, you up for the challenge?

It is not "ethically challenged" but "ethically defecative". the usage should be rigorous.

The Hard-core leftys' throwing their temper tantrums against these blue dogs is going to be a hoot to sit back and watch. We better not watch. We better learn to divide and conquer.
The more moderate/conservative legislation that can be passed by a coalition of Republicans and Blue-Dog Democrats will drive the leftists crazy.
If we sit back and watch, Pelosi will use their "moderate" tone as the means for Democrat re-election in 2008.

The 'rats can mess up as much as they want. They know that they're sure to be rehabilitated by the MSM every time.

Am I the only one who is skeptical of this nomination? I think she did it to appease the far left crowd, knowing the whole time that he would not get selected. This way Pelosi can go to the moonbats and say, "I tried".

A Vermonter eh?
Oh how I feel sorry for you, friend.
Guess since I moved away last year, that now make you one of only about 14 Conservatives out of 600,000 left up there in Bernnie-Land? lol
Got tired of going to the pols and considering my vote for Conservatives akin to p*ssing in the wind, among many, many other idiot goings-on in that far-left bastion of Liberalism, and I grew up there in the 50's when it was a great state.
Sadly, even N.H. (thanks to the influx of Libs from Taxachusetts) has now gone over to the "dark side" and ALL of New England (nay, ALL of the North East) is now solidly entrenched into the Blue Funk Column.
The ONLY things I miss are the fall foliage and the Maple Syrup and I can see the former on my screen and get the latter mailed to me by friends.
Again, my deepest condolences.

Defecative? Now that is an interesting form of that verb. I think I have seen "defacatory" used once as a description of a biological function and I don't think either one of them is in the dictionary, but, I suppose, I could be wrong.

Nobody has been elected yet.
The press and the already there dems appointed her. If those 140 dems plus 203 Republicans vote for someone else, she will not be Speaker.
This could get interesting.

.....If the Democrats had been smart .......
This statement implies wisdom and rational thinking. Their reason they are in power is just the opposite.
There is no rational thinking involved, only pure emotional ideology.
She, as in first woman to be Speaker, is a SanFran AKA AIDSburg, radical leftie. That's all that matters

BTW, has Pelosi actually been elected Speaker of the House? Wouldn't that happen in January?

That is a good choice. Maybe Barbour and Duncan in 08. Or Barbour and Pence.
