Clearly, this article is satire.
Yes, he is. To think they actually would think something like that is just plain nuts! I like the fact they are going to worry that this is a Rove plot, though.
Typical liberal analysis. Winning=losing.
When they lose, they spin it as a win. At least they are being consistent here in their stupidity.
I think they were already somewhat stupid...though closer to naive.
The current executive administration views the electorate more as "stockholders" than citizens. This has certainly come back to bite them.
Delusional nitwit. It was the Gore campaign that tried to run roughshod over Florida election laws, and the Florida Supreme Court which was making things up as they went.
Maybe we should lose every election so the lesson REALLY gets learned.
This is a joke. Right?? LOL
If "WE" means republicans, okay. If "WE" means conservatives, I might not agree with you. Many of the democrats that were elected were more conservative than the republicans they were running against. For example, just today, Murtha was thrown to the curb.
BTW, do you know any Republicans who like McCain? I sure don't. All of the buzz about him seems to come from the clown car media, and all of the good news polls are of likely voters, instead of registered Republicans. He will lose his primaries again. So will Rudy probably.
Something about the election plays at the back of my mind, though. The whole thing is very strange. The fact that the dems didn't lose a single seat, the fact that the Repubs lost almost every single one. I did wonder if Bush was maybe enjoying their gloating a little bit. Like he was saying ok loudmouths, lets see you take the heat for a little while. But he knows he still has enough control to rein them in if need be.
This guy is as unserious as the Democrats.
I thought "Moral Victories" were a Democrat thing.
To quote myself from another thread last night regarding Rove:
"... Maybe it'll come out much later that Rove orchestrated a plan for the GOP to take a dive. Two years of Democratic control, and 2008 turns into a landslide and the death knell for the Dem/Libs!
I belieeeeeve!"
Ok..sooooo,Roves brilliant plan was to lose the elections
so that the Dems would come out looking like idiots ?
If that's true, perhaps we need to dumb down a little.
We're outsmarting ourselves.
No, they didn't get stupid. Karl's magic hurricane machine was malfunctioning, so he didn't kill off enough black voters in time for the election.
Don't worry, he's working on that, and by 2008 it will be enhanced to not only generate hurricanes that will attack women and monorities, but to produce earthquakes along the San Andreas Fault to send California sliding into the sea, and week-long power outages in the northeastern states.
Rove surmised that this technical failure was cause by the fact that the weather machine was built by union labor on a Friday before a long weekend.
Never attribute a conspiracy to what may have just been a tech problem.
If you think the sale has been closed and Americans will vote for conservatives, no matter what we do, you're deceiving youself. We have a lot of work to do if conservative principles are going to carry the day in 2008.
The nice thing about this kind of work is that if you win by one vote, that's good. If you win by a lot of votes, that's better. It really makes no sense to do only a little bit, even if you think you're ahead.
Not a one! I have not heard a single person come out in support of McCrazy. This is totally media driven. I think they want McCain against Hillary and they are trying to minipulate the minds of the people into voting for McCain in the primarys. They know he hasn't got a snowballs chance to beat Hillary. dems will register as Repubs and vote for him in the primarys, too.
