IOW, you're suggesting that: if he hadn't given them several admissible-in-court clues, and the fellow hadn't lied to them, and the dogs hadn't sniffed illegal drugs on him, the cops wouldn't have had any probable cause....

It seems to me that when we fly we agree to endure the security procedures including searches. If you refuse to be searched, do not fly.
