And I would sue the pants off the airline.

The primary function of a woman's breats is the nuturing of her child. And society needs to get over it's problem with this. The flight was delayed, the child got hungry and the airline has the gall to kick the mother off? For feeding her child. Because the flight attended had a problem with it.

Anyone who has nursed knows that by 22 months (which still is a reasonable age to nurse, most doctors encourage it through 24 months minimum) a child is not going to remain covered with a blanket and the ensuing fights with the child are going to be more distracting than the actual act of nursing. The mother knew what would be the most discreet, her husband was sheilding her, she was sitting in the window seat in the second to last row.

This is discrimination pure and simple. The baby's head would have been covering significantly more that most low cut shirts or halter tops. But no one would ask those women to cover up. It's outrageous, and some one needs to find out what the heck this flight attendant's problem is.

Thank you. I am sick of people criminalizing mothers doing the right thing by their children.

The PRIMARY function? You lost me right there.

You've met children?

She was not kicked off for breast feeding her baby.

Your argument is weak. I know it, and you know your position is weak.

If it wasn't weak you wouldn't have twisted (lied) about why she was asked to leave. Rather, you would have used the actual facts of the case.

In your rant, you missed the blanket part. Is there some right out there worth protecting that the act of breast feeding is such a sacramental act, that it must be in plain view?

Sorry, I disagree.

This woman was looking for a fight. Nice. Using her infant as a tool to make a point. Not surprising, though, giving the type of people who champion this kind of "in your face" confrontation.

If she was being so discreet how did the flight attendant notice it? Maybe doctors recommend breast feeding till 24 months but at this age I am sure the child is on table food and regular drinks. This could have been used at this time.

My opinion is the Mom was being a jerk.

Once the kid gets teeth and is old enough to unbutton her blouse it's time to ween the little one, or do this in privacy.
