“What if every city did this, image how many lives would be saved? If we can do one little thing here at this level it will matter.”

LOL--imagine how many lives would be lost when large numbers of people are going through nicotine withdrawal simultaneously.

If they can to it to smokers, there's other segments they can toy with just as easily. I'm not a smoker and I think this is absurd.

Will they exempt medical marijuana, or is this only smoking of tobacco?

This is California, after all.

The decision puts Belmont on the forefront of smoking policy and it is already attracting attention from other states.

When did Belmont become a state?

I believe I would be inclined to set tires on fire throughout the city every night until that stupid 'ban' was trashed. In the meantime, I s'pose I'll have to be content withwith releasing freon, pouring used motor oil down the sewer and putting VOC's into the atomosphere. ;)

A "free" country? When was that?

This ban will also have to include pot and crack smoking as well I would assume, smoking is smoking after all.
I seriously doubt that this will ever make it into law.
It does show just how retarded people in this country have become.
I wonder how long it will be before Belmont becomes a ghost town. If smoking can be banned, so can gay sex, MacDonald's and other greasy spoon restaurants, driving cars,( after all, they smoke too) Farting in public. Just about anything can be offensive to someone, so it must be banned.
