We can save McCain the time and money and just say NO to his bid for the Presidency or anything else for that matter.

MeCain's head will explode when he doesn't get the nomination! This effort needs to be stillborn.
We need to spread the message that McCain's run is all about justifying a third party to split the Republican vote and get Hillary elected. /tinfoil

Aaaaargh! I'm running for President!
McCain will have a public meltdown shortly after the New Hampshire primary, if not sooner!

We may have to consider McCain. As an ex-liberal I've never understood the fear of Hillary. But Obama is a real threat. People still think that poverty is caused by racism, not the breakdown of the family, and voting for Obama will be a way to make them feel good about themselves. See also: Shelby Steele's book 'White Guilt.'
If McCain runs he will win. If McCain wins it will *probably* be the end of both Roe v. Wade and the abuse of the interstate commerce clause.
To my mind, it comes down to the quality of McCain's nominees versus another candidates lower chance of winning. Forget about the history.

Seriously, I'm looking forward to reading his address at the Federalist Society. There's no telling what he'll spout off to them.

I am a broken glass republican in that I will walk over broken glass to vote for anyone but McCain in the primaries. Lets face it, our choices in 2008 will be McCain or Gulianni. I will vote for Gulianni in this case. And Gulianni while a social liberal he is still way better than Hillery

But Obama is a real threat. People still think that poverty is caused by racism, not the breakdown of the family, and voting for Obama will be a way to make them feel good about themselves. That didn't help Steele in MD, Swann in PA, or the other man in Ohio. Deval Patrick did get elected though (MA is a case all its own).
