Steele is a great guy but, imo, not the right man for the position of RNC Chair. How can he represent a party he disagrees with so much? Steele would also be damaged politically in Maryland if he became the poster boy for the Republican Party. Maryland does not elect Republicans.

By the way, Miss Miers' friend, Supreme Court Justice Nathan Hecht, was easily reelected on Nov. 7. He had no Democrat opposition, only a challenge from the Libertarian Party. He has been on the court since 1988. I haven't heard a peep out of Harriet in some time.

Exactly why I like him. Or Tancredo. The GOP needed a bashing for being mealy-mouthed wimps. We've got to stop thinking "GOP", as if that's the be-all and end-all; it's not. We've got to get in to the mindset of "conservative" -- people who love America, its values, its traditions and its LAWS. We have LAWS that require immigrants to come here in a prescribed manner, and many of the "GOP", starting at the TOP, want to reward them for their illegal activities. Conservatives happen to think everyone should follow the law and play by the rules to save our country.
I know you think we are all being too picky.
But, you have to admit that we need someone more dynamic...
President Bush is a dynamic, energetic person..I LOVE listening to him speak...I turn the channel when Martinez speaks.

They HAD a candidate in Bret Schundler who was the ONLY republican to ever get majorities of the minority vote and what did they do when he got the nomination for governor? Abanded him, wouldn't fund or support him, campaigned against him, called him too "extreme" suggested he might be racist, bigoted, homophobic, the same old sh!t they use against every republican.
Stop effing pandering and stand for something.
I know nothing about Mr. Martinez so I don't feel it's my place to trash the man.
