70% of Republicans voted for Lieberman something I will never understand. Lieberman supported Prez on Iraq war & talked against slashing the Prez during war time. Connecticut is dominated by dems in party affliation. Republican winning chance was 0%.

It would have been better if Lamont had won. It would have radicalized the Dems more and gave greater power to moveon.org, etc. The "Prez" position on the war seems to be changing. He is turning it over to the Baker-Hamiliton commission.

I realise they had not chance of winning but I still could not bring myself to vote for a Labour, Lib Dem or independent if there was a Conservative Party candidate on the ballot regardless of what their stance on issues were.
I am just not genetically programmed to vote for anyone other than my party.
