Oh, thank you for giving me Carl McCall's name. He is just one of a long list of prominent blacks who thought they were players in the Rat party, but found out they are expected to sit in the back of the bus.

Along with McCall, I also can name Harold Washington a Supreme Court justice in Minnesota who wanted to run in place of Wellstone, but was told "No, thanks" and they dragged out old Fritz Mondale instead. And then we should remember the late mayor of Atlanta, Maynard, who was told to forget it when the Clintons wanted McAuliffe to head the DNC. More recently, Harold Ford was told to sit down and be quiet by Nancy Pelosi when he wanted to run for Minority Leader. In fact, I think that the Rats encouraged Ford to run for the Senate because they were pretty sure he would lose. He will wind up as a commentator on Fox News, I have NO doubt.

I think we should start pointing out the inherent racism in the way the Rats operate. I personally think they are absolutely unwilling to have a black as the public face of the party.

I think you are being just as dismissive of President Bush's affect on people when he gives a speech from his heart.....I think "real people" understand where he comes from..and don't think less of him because he isn't the "Great Communicator"..

Also..I know I read that a few times, the White House requested network prime time for a speech and the networks were NOT happy...and may have balked at it.

Every time that Clinton got within 100 feet of a microphone, jogged into a McDonalds, or anything, he was covered on the MSM...President Bush couldn't "buy" coverage even close to that by the MSM.

Also...I have heard Laura Ingraham, Sean Hannity BOTH blame BUSH for Katrina...which is unforgiveable...any intelligent person that paid attention KNEW it was first Nagin's fault, and second and third, Blanco's fault...then, you add in the hysterical MEDIA and their coverage...

And President Bush has been tarred...and will be under investigations and hearings for the next 2 years for a NATURAL DISASTER!!!....

Sure, it would have helped if the GOP Congresscritters would have spoken up more...but that isn't the subject here.

Don't put TOO much stock in the talk show hosts...they have NOT been much help to President Bush the last 2-3 years...and President Bush has kept the integrity of the Office of the President of the United States...which means ALL Americans.

I understand Hannity has to deal with the far lefties on his TV shows, but personally, I don't want to hear them on his radio show. If I was interesed in Rangel, Sharpton, and some even worse (if that's possible)I'd listen to Air Amerika.

Oh, I'm sure he will survive. I am not advocating anyone else cease listening, just telling you why I quit. I fully expect Rush will get lots of listeners who will feel that he is the voice of conservatism, and maybe he is.

He will just be minus one housewife in Indiana, which I am sure is no big deal to him.

UH-oh...you are in trouble NOW, Phsstpok...

You say that the great Ronald Reagan was for the CFR plan of "The North American Union"...that President Bush is being accused of signing up for...even though I haven't seen evidence of it???

I beg to differ with you, if you are Demorats your talking points are sent out by the DBM 24-7, if you are republicans, they are not mentioned unless they have a gaffe to criticize. we cannot possibly be talking about the same DBM. That they push all the Dem talking points and hide the Pubbies is a no brainer..........

I didn't say Political PR wasn't challenging when the Television and Newspapers aren't really willing to spread your side of the story.

But the Political PR game wasn't even played by the Republicans. How many times did you or I sit there and wonder where the outrage was over the NYT leaks? Why didn't the Republicans call the Democrats on some of their rediculous issues? The first time I saw this happen for me was with the backslap for Sandy Burger. This was a perfect opportunity for Political haymaking and the Republicans were too 'gentlemanly' to play it.

One aspect of Political PR is taking an issue that can be exploited and exploit it. The other is not letting an issue go on and on and on. I fault the Republicans as much as the MSM for the Plame affair. And Abu Grabe. Never did I hear one Republican say it was a bunch of Political haymaking by the Democrats. There were better ways to handle these issues and take advange of others.

I'm beggining to think it was Rove that doesn't know how to play the game and I think he should step down. Neither did either the House of Senate leaders. In fact there just wasn't any leadership in the Political PR arena.

That's just my humble opinion

My consolation is that I sent Mr Rogers to the archives where he labored mightily to come up with proof for some negative comments he made about Bush.

One, that Bush called Harriet Miers detractors anti-woman. That is preposterous. Can you say Condi? Can you say Janice Rogers Brown? Laura was kinda trapped by some MSM people into a semi-agreement that there might be an element of ... blah, blah, blah and then Mr. R expects Bush to dis his wife and calls his failure to do so an agreement that the spin against Miers was because she was a woman.

Two, that he called supporters of a strict border policy racists. I can't remember what claptrap he came up with to support that but it is ludicrous.

However, I am happy that since he accused me of having a faulty memory, he totally failed to get my joke in my response to him and made a fool out of himself ... or, more of a fool, as he'd already done a good job.

So, my memory may be failing but his sense of humor has completely gone in his bitterness.

I hope not. After listening to him on the CNN Broken Government (aka GOP) program, I want nothing to do with Lott in an important position.

Me either. Jon Kyl, not Lamar Alexander should be challenging Lott for the number 2 spot instead of going for number 3.

Well, thanks for an interesting post. I hope I didn't give the impression that I am anti-Mexican. I am not. I love Mexicans. I don't want us to be a two-language country like much of Canada. I don't think that encourages the sort of melting pot you are talking about.

I just think that the massive numbers of illegal (note word illegal) immigrants from Mexico needs to be halted.

Hey, my ancestors came over from England. Okay, it was on the Mayflower, but does that make me special? Well, maybe a little. Okay, not at all.

#706, thanks for the defense, these attacks are small potatoes considering the last three weeks on the ground getting peppered with Nasty Comments, weird questions and harassing phone calls from Rats. Also spending as long as 20 minutes trying to talk to one elderly nice Gent saying he would only vote for K Harris and nobody else because the Local Party sent out a Post card that had all the Candidates except her. I tried explaining that it was all because of CFR,but he had no clue why that was so because we could always put all the candidates names on our Campaign literature with all the recommendations. I finally got through when I told him that we could not do any literature for Federal candidates, or the Chairman could go to jail and be fined thanks to Mccain. He finally said he saw what I was trying to tell him, just State candidates could be included. He was a nice old man that was so mad I thought he would have a stroke. He calmed right down when he understood our plight. This is where the news media is so useless, and why Rush has to provide the good details that they are too stupid or partisan to explain. I would love to see that Wall go up for 700 miles, but where would we put the wall in Florida? I am still upbeat, next year will be our preseason leading up to our Super bowl win in November 2008.

He was conservative on social issues until he was the Veep candidate.

####

Lieberman ran for Veep and Senator in the same election year. In Connecticut he ran on one platform, nationally standing next to Algore he ran on a different set of values - in the same election.

Wow very revealing here!!
We need to remember however if we want to be successful in 08 it will take all of us not just the conservative base.

Regarding Katrina, I just plain think you are wrong. Guess what would have happened if he had attacked Blanco after that hurricane hit...he would have been attacking the governor of a state that had just had the worst disaster in American history, and a woman to boot.

He WAS on television speaking to people, but you DO realize that the press has denied coverage of speeches before, don't you?

What would have REALLY helped would have been if people like Newt Gingrich, Cal Thomas, and Susan Collins had actually stuck up for the President instead of going on national television to bash him. How come not one Republican pundit pointed out that by the President insisting on the mandatory evacuation he probably saved thousands of lives?

And Newt was on Fox calling this a fiasco, and saying that we needed something like the Marshall Plan for the Gulf Coast. Flash forward a year, and he was using the massive waste in Katrina (to be expected when you ram through such an aid bill to a corrupt part of the country) to explain why government was really bad at doing things like that!!!! It's a wonder he wasn't hit with a lightning bolt.

Republicans are apparently incapable of being team players. The minute that it looks like we are winning the game, they all have visions of pro contracts and become ball hogs. Rush's disdain for "carrying the water" is just one example. Myself, I would be HONORED that the President and Vice President trusted and valued my commentary enough to grant me interviews. But you see, that was being a water carrier and not the star player on the team.

Bah. Until we can make people understand teamwork and quit acting like it's "my way or the highway" I would expect we will suffer some more defeats.

Exactly and if we want to lose it will be because we go so far right in the choice that he/she is unacceptable to the middle of either party.
