The Talk Shows
Sunday, November 12th, 2006
Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Democratic National Committee chairman Howard Dean; presidential counselor Dan Bartlett.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., and Sen. Joe Lieberman, D-Conn.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev.; White House chief of staff Josh Bolten.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Sens. Joe Biden. D-Del., and Carl Levin, D-Mich.; Bolten.
LATE EDITION (CNN) : Bolten; Pakistani Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz; Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y.
Excellent idea! Every conservative recruit another.
I tend to agree with your opinion about Michael Steele.
I WAS a strong backer of him for the Senate..and I really am sorry he lost..
However, I saw an interview with him on Fox News last week, about the time the rumor of his getting the job as RNC head guy came out.
He was asked about it...and without saying so, I got the impression that he would really like the job.
What perked my ears up was the last part of his interview, when he said that the important thing "NOW" is.."to get our troops home from Iraq as soon as possible"...
YIKES...that was TOO dem-like for me.
I don't think McCain cares, or worries about "the base"..
I think he is trying for the moderate GOP..and NOW, the more conservative dems...
IOW...he is a man for all the people....GAG ME.
But, which group shows up to vote in the primaries? Isn't it the good ole dependable conservative base?
Thank you, FRiend!!! That will be most helpful. Perhaps we could divide into teams--certain folks do MTP, another group do FNS, etc. Separate transcript threads would be very good. I could link them from here.
Did you read Jayna Davis's well-written/researched book on Oklahoma City?
I will never forget Rush and how he helped so many of us in 2000 understand the goings on in FL etc. He even cancelled his vacation at Thanksgiving and was on the air both T. Day and that Friday.
And, for the record, I do not think Talent lost because of Rush. One of the reasons McClaskill won was because she talked about the minimum wage bill at EVERY appearance...that bill got more voters out than the Cloning Bill did from the polls that I have seen.
Makes me want to cry for our President, and our troops. For Santorum, and others who were turned out by the appeasers.

Hello lovely to see you
You meant BlankO. Further, slick willie already had his buddy from FEMA already lined up, so they could line their pockets.
Maybe that's why some of the people listed as R's turned out to be D's when we called from VV????
Yes, CNN ran Broken Government over and over again, and now that the Dems have won did you notice they are playing Heroes over and over again. So now Cnn cares about the military. They are all of a sudden patriotic. Are we ever going to get a hard interview with Pelosi? All we have heard for years is how stupid Bush is. And now the terrorists use that term!!! Thanks Msm, flipping channels I heard a talking head say how intelligent Pelosi is. I am sick and disgusted.
I didn't think our side was nearly as vicious. Savage just comes across as nuts. Boortz lost me with his Libertarian rants, except for things he supports. Ingraham has the worst laugh on radio and tends to whine a lot. Probably the best, after Rush, has to be Hugh Hewitt. He's informed, knowledgeable, logical and funny.
Trent Lott is running for the number 2 spot in Senate for the Republican minority. Sorry if this has been posted up earlier in the thread.
