Years ago I started doing my shopping for electronics and computer products online at Newegg.com and never looked back. They have good prices, low-cost and very fast shipping, and outstanding customer service. The only reason to go into a Best Buy is when I need to eyeball a product to evaluate it before ordering online.

Depends what you are buying. Circuit City of Comp USA for electronics (TVs, etc.) and computer products, Sears or local appliance chains for appliances. There's lots of options.

Fry's Electronics, if you have one in your area, is vastly superior in selection and price to Best Buy. I buy electronics at Fry's Electronics, Costco, or Online. I almost never shop at BB.

I don't know how the Best Buys in our area stay in business. When you go in there, there are literally often more employees than customers. Frys Electronics is killing them.
