Best Buy has announced they will be using "Happy Holidays" this coming Christmas shopping season, and they will not be using "Merry Christmas."
Dawn Bryant, a spokeswoman at Best Buy Co. Inc., says their advertising will not be using the term "Merry Christmas." "We are going to continue to use the term holiday because there are several holidays throughout that time period, and we certainly need to be respectful of all of them," Bryant said. Mailed and sent my opinion on the issue. I am an avid Best Buy shopper and have been saving to spend major dollars there this Christmas...and use up all of my points rewards as well...I just sent an list of what I will now be purchasing at wal-mart,circuit city, and other retailers who understand that Christmas is a Federal holiday and a religious one as well that is celebrated by 90 percent of the U.S.
What a stupid move on their part to offend Christians this way by saying it is offensive to say Christmas.
