My friend, you are the exception and are rich.

I disagree with that as well. I draw a good salary, but the government takes half of it before it ever goes into my bank account. Robert Kiyosaki defines wealth by the number of days you can survive without having to go to work. You are "rich" when that number is infinite and work is optional. Even though I've paid off my home mortgage, the property tax on my home works out to $300/month. I'll never have the option of not working with that tax hanging over my head.

You are rich using the lib definition of rich.

You have worked hard and I am sure make great sacrifices
to pay off your home.

I would like to clarify about people not noticing withholding. Many don't care, but some do.
