I really agree with you here, but still, it will be nice to have a few self-righteous "I told you so's" at the stay-at-homers' expense.
True but there were registered Repubs that voted dem.
We voted straight repub even tho I lean more libertarian. My husband voted straight repub and it was his first time.. became a citizen in March '06.
The President doesn't have to serve in the Military, nowhere does it say that he does. Franklin D. Roosevelt the biggest "war monger ever"(This is a botched joke) never served in the military(this is true he never served in the military but he was Elected to four terms in office)
I hate it when inflasion does that!
DITTO....look what they have wrought!
The complaints are numerous. I think common ground should be sought.
Preview is also our friend....out of the TWO things...not three.
Is that when your country is overrun by air compressors?
Sure lots of independents aka "I'll vote what's good for me and to heck with everyone else" -- voted Dem.
But lots of conservatives stayed home too - depresed by so many charges of corruption...and the perception that Republicans were disloyal to the base.
I retain the right to b*tch my butt off in upcoming months, having done my civic duty & pulled the R lever (as I have done every election since 1980).
Actually, Drudge had posted some numbers on how many Dims vs. Republicans voted for senators, and there were 50% more Dim votes cast than Republican ones. I believe the numbers were 300-some million D, 200-some-million R's. So had the Pubbies come out and voted, as close as it was with that many fewer of us now, we would have taken an even bigger chunk of everything than we already had.
BTW, I was one of the ones who braved the pouring rain to push straight R buttons, and encourage many others to do the same. :-(
I suppose the House can easily "impeach" the President and the Vice President. But it would take 2/3 of the Senate to finish the job. While anything is possible now, THAT is highly unlikely.
...and spell check.
Well I voted straight GOP even though the GOP basically cut and ran from CT. IMHO the GOP has nobody to blame but themselves. Spending like drunken sailors, no SS reform, no real immigration reform of course republicans got their clocks cleaned. Believe me I dread seeing what the left has in store for us but republicans did it to themselves when they walked away from conservatives.
"There was one?"
Your #36...amen.
Sadly, in my Congressional district, there was no Republican running this time. So, I did vote for the Libertarian and felt damn proud to do so! lol
