Democrats are set to subpoena

WASHINGTON — Rep. Ike Skelton knows what he will do in one of his first acts as chairman of the Armed Services Committee in the Democratic-led House: resurrect the subcommittee on oversight and investigations.

The panel was disbanded by the Republicans after they won control of Congress in 1994. Now, Skelton (D-Mo.) intends to use it as a forum to probe Pentagon spending and the Bush administration's conduct of the Iraq war.

It has been 12 years since Democrats were in control of both the House and Senate. But they are looking to make up for lost time, and in some cases, make the Bush administration and its business allies sweat.

With control of every committee in Congress starting in January, the new majority will inherit broad powers to subpoena and investigate. And that is expected to translate into wide-ranging and contentious hearings.

The agenda is likely to be dominated by the Iraq war, but could include probes into the Bush administration's warrantless surveillance, environmental policies and new prescription-drug program for seniors. Industries, such as oil companies, could also come under closer scrutiny.

This is par for the course... Whenever there is a Communist takeover, the kangaroo courts and the purges inevitably follow...

There are plenty of links to websites that discredit and expose the MSM

They have already been exposed and discredited. It's now time to de-finance them. Boycott advertisers. Make it so financially painful for them to advertize during the newshour, and the networks will no longer be able to support News divisions, and multi million dollar contracts. The pipeline is severed to the Democraps and the brainwashing of the masses finally ends.

Sarcasm...right?

On a side note...the demonrats are just upset with the Republican's because we embarassed them by exposing Clinton while he was in office...or should I say, he exposed himself. ;)

This is a perfect time for the rational ones (Republicans, Libertarians, Freepers) to hold the Democrats to the fire.

They want to play hard ball? Then the rational ones will bring the aluminum bats and hit their hard balls right back at them, aiming for their b@lls.

There's enough illegal, immoral, and interesting information on every Democrat Congressperson who will spout off about how "they" are passing laws and investigating on behalf of the people. But the rational ones know that the true motive is revenge.

So what do we do? We publish the truth the Democrats don't want the public to know. Where? Everywhere on the Internet. We write letters to the editor, we post on news websites, we share our sources (written media) and we use every resource available to show the public what is really going on when the Democrats control Congress.

I think FR is up to the unspoken Democrat challenge.

We can post "questions" on known liberal blogs/web sites and list verified information so that even the Dims who try to respond will have to admit that the information we've provided is true.

I see it as a quest for rationality in politics. And Freepers are just the people to take up the quest (or crusade) to bring rationality into the political arena.

RIGHT?

What, may I ask, makes you think your opinion, which is based on your observations, is correct? I have seen so many opinions from people in a better position than mine. Your opinion is just another assertion which has little foundation in any fact, other than cynicism. There are millions of opinions, yours being just as valid as anyone else's.

If all opinions are equally valid, then logical discourse is absurd.
