The good news is nobody is reading the Omaha World Herald anymore--their numbers are going through the floor. We need to create a Nebraska-centered blog for conservatives that will bring the state of Nebraska together.
Heh-heh. They had some kid call me up to subscribe yesterday at a rate that didn't even come close to paying their costs. I was tempted to subscribe for while, just to make them poorer. We do need a great blog though. I like
GoBigEd for education stuff, don't know any others.
To: George W. Bush
Thanks! I've bookmarked Go Big Ed.

"The American people have spoken out against the president's agenda on a number of fronts, and presumably one of those is on foreign policy,"
"And at this late stage in my term, I'm not going to endorse something the American people have spoke out against." Let's see here:
Prissy little twit,
Hurt him liddle feelings,
Taking his ball and going home..so there!
Also needs to check up on use of the noun 'speak'.
Probably right at home in his new Burger King uniform.

Chafee is an ass.
Always has been one, always will be.
For him to have done anything OTHER than fvck over the GOP as a parting shot would have been completely out of character for him.

Because the leadership/RNCC thought leaning liberal and/or moderate was going to gain votes.
Wonder who did the polling for them...Hillary?

I'm so glad that Chafee lost, and I also know that a majority of FREEPERS are glad too. If the U.S. Senate ended in a 50-50 tie, Senator Chafee would probably switch to the Democratic Party.

Also couldn't a strategy be to nominate someone who COULD NOT be confirmed allowing Bolton to stay on until his replacement is confirmed? Or maybe if President Bush threatens the Dims that if they don't confirm John Bolton, that he will recess appoint someone that they would consider much less to their liking. Say, Donald Rumsfeld or Newt Gingrich.

Bush should go before the American people and list reasons why Bolton is right man for job, and complain of Democratic obstruction in time of war. EVERY Republican should talk about this. Bolton is a strong man for a tough time.

Republicans need to do what Dems do: complain, issue press releases, express dismay, outrage, indignation etc.

You're exactly right - The GOP shouldn't have spent any money on Chafee: an obvious Democrat. Now, he says that he is considering becoming a Democrat. He really should move to New York, where he can get a new birth certificate and become a little girl.

Centurion 2000: OK - I'll let Karl know you're up next - although I kinda like the idea of making Bolton the acting assistant ambassador and tell the Dems we'll leave the ambassadorship open - or better yet, not only leave the position open but also relocate our entire UN staff to somewhere far, far away - they and the UN'll never get anything meaningful done (except to help the enemies of freedom) anyway and if our staff is not there then maybe there won't be anyone to deliver our check to help them do nothing.
On the 40% controversy, everyone knows 2 plus 2 is 22, so it follows that 20 plus 20 is 2020 and 40 plus 40 is 4040.
We need to purge the blue bloods. They are just like the Dems - anything to stay in power. Always pragmatism over principle.

Can the RINO's be told to leave the party? They are going to vote the other way anyway.

Since the GOP has lost it's majority anyway, the President and SML Frist (if they can find the 'nads to do it), should announce that Chaffee is stripped of all privileges within the Party, is EXPELLED from the Party, and he can spend his remaining time in the Senate with the 'Rats, who he apparently loves so much.
Screw that weasely little sumb!tch, he puts the 'R' in 'RINO' for 'REPUGNANT'.
What a pathetic little puke.

There's a lot of knuckleheads in both houses that have given Republicans a bad name. Start with Hastert the load and Boehner the boner. Hastert might as well have been a bishop hiding Foley for all he did for us.
