Charlie Rangel: "Who the hell wants to live in Mississippi?" (..Said the Man From Harlem!!)

Charlie Rangel opens his mouth...and mocks the South: (hat tip: reader CRB)
Its not just committees our influence within the House Democratic caucus will grow enormously, Mr. Rangel said in an interview.
To that end, he sketched out an expansive federal agenda: Teaming up with Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg on gun control, passing new tax incentives for urban job programs, and redirecting federal money to New York in return for the outsize tax collections that the federal government makes here.
Mississippi gets more than their fair share back in federal money, but who the hell wants to live in Mississippi? Mr. Rangel said.

What is it, not even 48 hours and Harly Charlie, sticks his foot in his mouth.
The next two years are going to provide plenty of entertainment.

Property values are a very good reason to live in Harlem right now. Gentrification is happening -- slowing, okay -- but developers are buying everything they can get their hands on and putting up condos everywhere.
The "street" influence will always be in Harlem, but if you're interested in ministering to a city, moving into a neighborhood like that is one of the best things you can do. There are opportunities to serve everywhere, and actually tons of wonderful people.
When I get ready to move from Queens to the City, it is definitely on my list of places to consider. A few fast minutes to midtown -- booyah!

President Bush better hold the line on gun rights.
He promised and campaigned to renew the AWB.
Not really a friend of gunowners. Delay and Frist were the gunowners' friends during the Bush era. Both are now gone.

Pay no attention to this coarse, obnoxious, lowlife creature. My skin crawls every time I hear his voice.

If Mr. Rangle and Bloomberg wish to denigrate Mississippi and destroy our 2nd Amendment, then let me say I hope their town gets hit again by the terrorists.
The people of NYC who elected these monsters are the enemies of freedom and liberty and deserve the fate handed out to the tyrants who have attempted to destroy us before.

Hmm. Rangel makes no pretenses about wearing his bigot heart on his sleeve. Go to it, Charlie boy. You and your loony liberal friends spend the next two years spewing hateful rhetoric, creating a financial disaster, and trying to make us into a Communist State. Let everyone know what you really have in mind. Please do your best to take my guns away. Please make it illegal for me to even possess them. Pull out all the stops. Keep accusing our troops of torture. Please call them murderers. Please raise my taxes really high. Way, way high. Don't stop until we have a huge recession. Impeach President Bush. Impeach Vice President Cheney. Go for an all out coup and make Nancy Pelosi our unelected President. Please, please, please, Charlie boy. Because guess what? Once you and your friends do, the Presidency and Congress are ours in 2008.

Love your enthusiasm. I'm sick of the glummers here. Time to stop crying over Tuesday and look ahead. With style and verve.
