"I'm not giving up on FR, yet."

This is the first day since I joined in 2001 that I am "considering" not reading FR for a while. I'm still reading, but if I find it is counter-productive, I'm out for a while.

One of the things I have enjoyed from FR was reading the thought-provoking and interesting posts. I simply HATE all of the silly one-liners which have taken over lately. This forum has become a chat-room for people who want to make smart remarks which do nothing to educate, inform, or enlightening. Most of what I find today are juvenile statements. May I swipe one of Rush's terms? I call this an attempt by the "drive-by" detractors to weaken the effectiveness of this forum.

That seems to be all it is, just one liners.

If Bush did make a statement, I don't have time to wade through 500+ smarmy posts to find out what he said.
FR used to be the best breaking news site on the web, lately I've been using Google news to find out what's what.

And if you leave, who wins? Certainly not those of us who stay behind and fight to bring this place back to normal.

Look around: we need every sane voice we can get........LOL.
