A pity, really, but I wouldn't doubt it. There goes the last hope of any meaningful reform at the UN. And that's exactly what the Democrats want - those who have any particular bent toward geopolitics at all are internationalists to a person, and they like it the way that it is: a forum for posturing, blathering, redistribution of wealth toward the pockets of a ruling elite, arrogance, sanctimony, and the ineluctable "progress" toward a world government where one is only as free as the state allows.
That system fosters a level of corruption that is quite unimaginable to anyone accustomed to balancing household finances. It will absolutely continue. The race will be to see who gets to get his cut off the top.

Biden is expected to become chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee
That is down-right frightening.

The Democrats should be prepared to explain what he has done wrong while seated in this position.

That was then, this is now. Let's see just how far the new Congressional 'leadership' is willing to go in working with the administration.

This is some of the first fruit from conservative voters who bought the MSM "GOP is corrupt" spin and stayed home instead of voting.
Ugh.

Interesting... Bolton leaves, just after Rummy. It's almost as though there are people who have decided quit while ahead and leave the democrats to their own devices, just to teach everyone how incompetent and dangerous they are... a'la Atlas Shrugged.

I called my congressman and told him he better pass a message to the president to stand up for Bolton. If he doesn't he is going to lose more of his base.

He's done a very good job. What a loss.

President Bush has strongly supported Bolton and has repeatedly called upon the Senate committee to allow the nomination to go to the full Senate for an "up and down vote." Senate Democrats again blocked such a vote Wednesday evening....and they'll only have to continue doing that until January. After that, there's probably not a chance in hell. Thanks again, stay-homers.
