The Dems circled the wagons and protected Clinton. They used the impeachment in the next election against the Repubs. This is more akin to the Repubs helping drive Nixon from office. Believe me we lost big in 1976 and the country paid a high price for it. The present war can be traced back to the Carter administration. Republicans could take a lesson in loyalty from the Dems. Look at 1994 Clinton single handledly lost the House and the Senate big. However, the Dems stuck by Clinton. We lost and election. It is not the end of the world. If we pull together, we may win in 2008. However, we will not win if we eat our own...as Repubs are wont to do.
