I'm right there with you today....tomorrow I may feel differently, but today, I'm really pi$$ed at the republicans.

Might of helped if he did it last week. I suspect Rummy insisted on it, not the President, not after giving him the vote of confidence last week.
The writing was on the wall after last night, the Commies would have black mailed the President into getting rid of him or stop the funding of the war, at least that is my take.

Put Vice President Cheney there (he "gets" the war, the nature of the enemy, and what's at stake), and move Secretary Rice to the VP position.Interesting! I don't know about Rice, but that would be a way to have a VP candidate who will run in 2008.

"THIS IS GOING TO SUCK THE ATTENTION AWAY FORM THEM WINNING THE HOUSE/SENATE."
No it doesn't. It brings MORE ATTENTION to them winning.
To: CedarDave
It could have made a difference.
Bush's poll numbers increased as he appeared of late to take some responsibility for Iraq, and then when he got stubborn again, they fell.

Glad he waited till we lost..... Indeed. I wonder how the elections would have turned out if he had stepped down on Monday afternoon.

I disagree. It would have just been more blood in the water on the eve of the election, seen as a desperate plea. And having him resign now is almost as bad. Just yesterday, Rush was reading from a democrat who described the War In Iraq was one with the fewest casualties and fewest blunders in history. I agree that isn't the perception in the myopic electorate, but Bush should have stood by him.
To: Mo1
The will defund this war No need to defund the war. We will pull out and save them the trouble.
