Ever heard of FBI files?

He didn't name names, but his rant began when the news came out that Rumsfeld was resigning. He interpreted that as Bush bowing to the Democrats and giving them what they wanted so that he can leave the WH in two years with high ratings.

I think that was a knee-jerk reaction, and I hope he rethinks it after he's home with some peace and quiet, a good meal, and some sleep. :) He really didn't have much time to process Rumfeld's resignation before reacting, as he learned of it during his show. And it truly was a surprise to everyone, including Rush.

Because I like Rush, and I can't stand Savage. It's not all about the issues. Rush did what he did to help the team. Savage says what he says to get attention.

Well the webcam version I saw had Rush throwing his arms around and talking about how Fox was "acting", that is wasn't real. Sometimes what people do speaks louder than what they say. And you can't take it back.

Like I said, Rush is very animated when he speaks, and they SPEEDED IT UP to exaggerate it. If they're going to quote him, they should quote him IN CONTEXT, not slice out the parts that fit their "Rush is a heartless a$$**** for picking on poor Michael J. Fox" mantra. If you listen to him IN CONTEXT, that's not what he was saying at all. The part with him describing what the ad looked like to him was less than 10 seconds out of a one-hour discussion. The media took it, lied about it, and beat it like a dime-store drum.

Which is another reason Rush should have known better. Honestly, that was a real letdown. He knows the vultures are always circling and to pull a stunt like that well, I thought he was a better person than that. My mistake.

That's where you're wrong...he didn't "pull a stunt". He was just discussing an ad. He didn't make fun of Michael J. Fox. He didn't mock Michael J. Fox. NOT ONCE! He wasn't even mocking Fox with his actions on-camera. I know, because I was listening. Anyone who actually listened to him would understand that he was discussing the contents of the ad, the validity of the contents (or the lack thereof), and the typical strategy of the Democrats to use victims to do ads of this type because the victims are seen as unassailable.

Sorry, but I don't think Rush did anything wrong here. I blame the media that lied about what he said, and then proceeded to parade Fox around from show to show to replicate the lie. Rush tried to give them his side of the story, and they wouldn't even listen.

Limbaugh posted the transcript, and started out with this:

The president was passionate about one thing in this press conference. He came alive when he was asked a question about: What does this mean for your immigration policy? "Yes, I think we have a better chance of getting immigration reform now with a Democrat-controlled Congress."

I told you this before the election. I told you, "The reason we don't have amnesty and a guest worker program is because of the Republicans in the House." Now with Democrats running the place you're going to get it and the president's excited about it. We're going to get a guest worker program. We're going to get amnesty. It's going to be called "immigration reform," and you're going to get a minimum wage increase. The president's going to talk to these people about entitlements -- and when you sit down with Democrats to talk about entitlements, you're not talking about getting rid of them. You're talking about "reforming" them, maybe, or perhaps even new ones.

Rush can claim that he was talking about it before the election, but many of us here have been talking about Bush's enthusiasm for some kind of amnesty/guest worker for much longer than that (and Bush has never hid it, except when pressed by Republicans).

This reminds me...I wonder what happened to all the Dem laywers who were standing by ready to contest the elections?

Where is Jesse Jackson and the main stream media's outcry against disenfrachisement?

I suppose to them voter fraud and election-stealing is only a concern when they lose.
