We have lost a battle. We have not lost the war.
Conservatives need to see this as an opportunity, NOT a disaster.
To start with NEW Congress, NEW Leadership. Time for a hard charging no nonsense leadership in the US Senate and US House.
Time for the Republican Insurgency to teach the Democrats what a REAL quagmire looks like.
They wanted it. They lied to the American people about their real agenda to get it. Let them enjoy their Phyrric victory in 2006. They won most races by a few thousands votes. Let them go home in 2008 and try to defend their record of voting for Ms Nancy and Hillary Clinton's Big Socialist Agenda after running as Republican Lite in 2006.
Our job going forward is prevent them from doing too much damage between now and then

Agreed! This is the dawning of a new day and we can emerge from this stronger than we ever have been, if we play our cards right.

Morning. Your state really took a hit last night. I see they elected that socialist Muslim guy.

I am so waiting for Rush to come on. Yes, the American people are going to get the lesson they deserve, but at what cost?

IMO, Rush didn't help with his Michael J. Fox scenario. That was in very poor taste and I expected more from Rush.

Our state elected Governor Moonbeam Attorney General.
But at least the oil tax went down in defeat.

To: MNJohnnie
Agree 100% with your assessment. They wanted to lead because they supposedly have all the answers. We know they don't, and it will be funny watching Nancy chase cats for two years because the elected candidates are more Conservative than the demoncrat liberal leadership. Should make for many popcorn times over the next two years.

MJF was revealed. Rush did the right thing.

I posted this on another thread; I stand by it.
This was a political re-alignment and anybody who denies it is a hopeless Pollyanna. Two other things are also evident:
1. The pundits like Rush Limbaugh who chortled that the Democrats were in the process of self-immolating were blind as a bat it was the Republicans who were fracturing and imploding.
2. The mainstream media trumps the new media: The MSM has the power of images, the new media has only rhetoric and the printed word.
