Please Mods can we have one central Live thread ...its tough jumping from thread to thread to get results.
Why? Because I call them Losertarians? The Losertarian philosophy used to be one of strong fiscal conservatism, and still is with many members, and those members largely voted GOP. Now they're having trantums, and shooting themselves in the foot. Pathetic and just plain stupid. Libertarians who vote Libertarian are Losertarians, plain and simple.
And what was his statewide performance in 2000?
We did, and we receioved them, still do - just not in MT where we need them.
The Burns race in Montana is looking a lot better than it did a few hours ago. He's closing the gap, and if current trends continue, will win by about 1,200 votes or so.
Seriously though, I think McCain harbors some anger from wasting five years of his life while being abused as a POW. That makes him a little cranky and contentious at times, but who wouldn't be pi$$ed about an experience like that? There's a big difference between personality and character, and I think McCain has good character overall. Bubba usually has a pleasant personality but he has major character defects. McCain gets cranky but I think he's a decent man from a good family.
Still some Hope in Yellowstone. As you say, it depends on whcih precincts that 14% is comprised of.
Where are you getting your numbers? I may have asked already, but I don't see a reply.
Burns beat Schweitzer 208,082 to 194,430 (51-47%).
He's obviously lagging from his 2000 pace and doens't have the benefit of the Bush coattails (Bush killed Sore-Loserman).
I PRAY you are right.
Yes the general population does not see it as increased costs for whoever pays their salary. They think all of us business owners are rich and won't notice higher costs.
The reminds me I was recently arguing with a liberal about this very subject, she was claiming it was all a lie about raising costs, and she said we can make it a more perfect world if we just ignore things like the minimum wage...
My reply was, hell yeah if I can deny the laws of reality I can make my world a better place immediately as well. I told her "if I could do that I would just wish you into Marilyn Monroe who was quite infatuated with me and wanted to call her lesser know twin sister so they could give me a roll in the hay together."
Believe it or not she was not at all amused.
The numbers are both on cnn's site (which uses the Voters news service numbers) as well as the SOS site.
It's 36% now in Yellowstone.
Oh my - just reading through all the threads now - I'm in PA and sorry that Santorum lost
36% of Yellowstone is now in, and Burns' lead has increased there to 51-47. The numbers are from CNN:

But keep in mind that mass deportations of Mexicans is insane and would also lead to an economic collapse. Why do so many conservatives support such a crazy idea, and believe me it IS crazy? I can't believe how little some people know about economics and the consequences of deporting millions of workers. The only reasonable course of action is to deport criminals and people on welfare and then stop further illegal immigration.
If he won by over 1,000 will that avoid a recount?
Yes...... it's all about the unions, in my opinion. Every time the minimum wage goes up, the unions will be able to ask for a bigger raise. Very inflationary.
But they're small percentages. He has a vote deficit to make up from a few small counties, one big one and one medium. Will it take him over the hurdle he has to meet and exceed?
We are sitting here on the edge of seats!
It's not just "Religious Right", it's McCain-Feingold, McCain-Kennedy, McCain-media, McCain-McCain-McCain...
He's too full of himself and just too much nuts to be trusted in any position of power, let alone Presidency. Remember, Kerry was going to offer him a cabinet or even VP position, if he agreed to endorse him.
Very few conservatives actually support mass roundups of illegals.
LOL! :>
