I agree, the party has to reorganise and try new alliances with other political views. This election has clearly shown conservatism alone cannot win elections, we have to appeal to the independents and politically lame minded. The reality is politics is a dirty business, a principled guy like Santorum goes down while sleazy slimy dems get reelected , thats the way voters respond to politics.
If they weren't so extreme maybe two years would be palitable... but they are extreme and will play us like a violin to try and take the WH in 2008.
