I dont know anyone from those other groups that I could sway...
Only a few "moderates"...and dont worry...I'm going to ride them like a gaddamn ton of bricks for the next two years...
Blame is for blamers I guess...so i'll stop doing it if you do...
The MSM really took off the mask for this one...no more doubt which camp they are in..(as if there was any before)
Absolutely. The republican pundits have been hitting relentlessly and now look at what they have wrought. It's going to be a very unpleasent time ahead. The terrorists WILL take this as a win because it is a blow to Bush. They will be crowing beginning tomorrow.
And that is the problem. Bush has led us militarily, but he has not led domestically, leaving it to the congress to get things done, something that it is incapable of doing no matter who is running the show. The only time congress accomplishing anything is when there is a president twisting arms in the backroom, and imposing his will. This is why LBJ was able to get things done.
:)
I would believe Pelosi's and the rest of the lib Dem's message more if they would give up their wealth and move into doublewides. ;)
Better question: How will 12 million new Mexican-American Democrat voters affect the census numbers?
Right now we do not have a post mortem on what went wrong. My hunch is economics. Granted the economy is booming and unemployment is low, but we are in a global economy which can outsource jobs (including high tech jobs), import cheap H-1B workers plus an open border where illegal immigrants can flood into the job market. Reagan Democrats have been asking for relief and redress from the GOP they voted into office. All they got from GWB was globalism is a fact of life, outsourcing is good for America, H-1B workers numbers were expanded, and hesitancy to close the border and enforce illegal immigration laws. The Dems have responded in many blue collar GOP districts with minumum wage increase, and review of CAFTA and other trade agreements. That alone will cut into the GOP blue collar support. Granted the Dems will not deal with illegal immigrants or H-1B quotas, but atleast the blue collar will get some of their issues redressed by the Dems. I think after they get what they want they will turn back to the GOP for taxcuts and illegal immigration enforcement (assuming the GOP can agree to that with the Chamber of Commerce wing of the party).
Those numbers are encouraging. However, after what just happened to Allen my optimism is tempered.
Oh, he's already done that in that "fake" impeachment hearing Conyers had!
ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Our Kansas election sucks big time!
I think the Dow has long ago factored this in when they began giving heavily to the Democrats in contributions this past quarter.
I can. This was a loss, and not to be sugarcoated, but we've had worse.
Kansas City and St. Louis still looking for the numbers they need to defeat Talent...I mean "reporting".
"It is due to the leftist MSM nonstop propaganda fed to the masses."
That's basically it. ..and the GOP didn't really counter too well.
Right. One last point I'd like to make is that our guys tend to believe in term limits (I stridently do not!) or just plain retirement. How many of our good guys have stepped down? Dick Armey, Bill Frist, Henry Hyde, Fred Thompson, etc. In the meantime, the Dems hold onto their seats forever.
bingo!
WEll, Mt doesn't look good, last I heard Allen is down in VA and recounts are doubtful to help, and on Fox Talent is now down by 13K votes, its looking bad.
Its after 1am, I think I will go to bed and dreamof better days.
