Please Mods can we have one central Live thread ...its tough jumping from thread to thread to get results.
Yep...it's over for the GOP. They lost a lot of their base by proving they can't govern and conservatives actually held them accountable. Something Dem voters never do with their representatives.
It's back to the squishy middle and the Dem-lite minority for years to come. I wonder who the new Bob Michel will be.
Rudy or Bust in 2008.
VA will go to recount, but GOP never wins recounts - they can only lose them (like in WA 2004). Montana is hopeless. So, we are at -5 now.
It is clear that Talent is running behind his 2002 numbers, so it looks like he will lose bu ~2%. That's -6.
Well, now Dem's control both houses, so they assume a large share of power, and will not be able to run away from responsibility. By early 2008, they will surely repulse quite a few of their 2006 voters.
We might be a lot further down the road if we had taken a hardline with alSadr from day one before built his militia and consolidated his power base and been allowed to join the government...also, taken the advice in the very beginning and split into three quadrants instead of letting Turkey call the shots on that because of their dislike of the Kurds -- the only group with it's act together in Iraq.
If we have MO the best the Dems do is tie 50-50. Cheney then drops the hammer hahahaha
Absentee ballots are counted along with regular ballots in Virginia... not afterward. There's no hidden cache of Allen votes waiting to be counted.
VA SEN [99.18% IN]
R- ALLEN 1,141,753 49.44%
D- WEBB 1,139,885 49.36%
The above was post at drudge then next:
VA SEN [99.26% IN]
R- ALLEN 1,141,753 49.36%
D- WEBB 1,148,750 49.44%
That's a 9000 vote difference with just 8% additional votes in??????
Lowery's just jumping on the bandwagon. Which National Revile tends to do when it comes to conservative bashing.
m 2 cents = my 2 cents
Now they're saying we've lost the Senate.
Hmmmmmm. If true, hope everyone who voted wrong or didn't vote is happy with no more Conservatives/Constitutionalists on the Federal Bench. /sarc
The Dems hold onto those theft boxes waiting to see how many votes they need! lol
I am just guessing, but I think the reference to 'black glass' refers to what you find at the site of a nuclear explosion. The implication I draw is that if the folks over there are recalcitrant, we should nuke 'em. Sometimes I think this is correct, sometimes I disagree.
The Old media is the biggest winner today-they have slammed Republicans and brainwashed people-whether it is CNN at the airport-nothing but Bush bashing
DO we know which precincts are still out. (now 18)...?

I am too young to really remember the 1970s.
Guess I'll just have to catch the re-runs these next two years.
And who could Bush ever get confirmed if he did throw Rummy under the bus? That little twirp from Cleveland who ran for President on the Dept. of Peace platform? Sorry, I can't even remember the disgusting little freaks' name.
You are a dreamer....We lost what you do not understand.
I will say prayers for them and will remember all our men and women in the armed services, and pray particularly for their safety and the continuance of their mission upon consideration of today's election results.
The Dems are going to win by not standing for anything...simply "not being Republicans".
Absolutely amazing. Time to move to the Canary Islands.
Barone just said that in Virginia absentee ballots must be received by Nov. 7 and are being counted along with the other votes.
I am deeply worried about the WOT. What if they withdraw the funding? Say a prayer tonight that we will be allright.
