Absolutely ridiculous. Rove has worked hard to secure an enduring GOP majority. They just got handed a major setback tonight. To suggest that this is some sort of "master plan" is patently absurd.

People don't seem to understand what is going on in Pennsylvania. Pa. is loaded with old people. Bitter, miserable old people that sit for hours on end and watch CNN. They are resentful of the money being spent in Iraq because they feel that they are the ones entitled to it. Screw making the world a better place for the young. It is all about them. Santorum is a senator looking to the future in a state where people are waiting to die, while watching CNN. They resented his stand with the President on social security and the war. It really had nothing to do with being conservative or not. They think that Casey is also conservative. Pa. has the second highest population of old people in the country.

Just one crazed prediction. Pelosi will not end up Speaker, rather Stenny Hoyer of MD. will get the nod.

We were beat by a flagrantly biased MSM... the best thing we can all do is swear never to let our dial touch CNN or MSNBC or buy the WaPo or NYTimes in the next two years... turn them off and tune them out.. don't even look out of curiosity. BUMP and why post their stuff here which gives them even more exposure? :)

Allen up 3000 votes now...I think he's toast
I'm afraid you are right ... Allen percentage needed to win trend is going the wrong way - up to 47% from 44% as the votes to go went from 62,000 to 53,000. The big city votes must be rolling in. Allen needs to get just over 47% of the rest of the votes to win.

Please explain why the president supports amnesty? Doesn't he realize these immigrants vote Democrat? If I may answer your question in three words..."North American Union"
To: FlipWilson
Quote: "Ronald Reagan would not have presided over this debacle. " Uhh, no offense, but he presided over one worse than this, much worse. He lost the Senate and greatly increased the Democrat majority in the House. Great memory. Everyone should take note of this.

And therein lies the problem. Several callers to radio shows I've heard tonight said they voted a straight dem ticket to "teach the Republicans a lesson".
The Republicans may be learning a lesson tonight, or they may be too blockheaded. Either way, we may not be able to weather two years minimum of Democrat control with things the way they are in the world today.
I'll be keeping a close eye on the stock market in the short term, and do what I need to to protect my 401K. Beyond that, time will tell.
Keep on fighting the good fight!

Oh please...these are morons that call themselves the oxymoronic "fiscally conservative, socially liberal" label.
Your statistics are a broad view and totally ignore the district by district and state by state logistics.

No, nothing is a lock when a smear can be sent from one end of the world to another in minutes and repeated over and over again.
He can/may fail but the ideological trend of this race in electing extreme Libs against strong conservatives worries me.
The farther right our candidates were...the worse they did!
That sucks and I am lamenting it as I dream up some cohesive '08 strategy.
