I am just saying that 92 was much worse.
Clinton was a nightmare for a solid two years.
This means very little by comparison.

Tonight, where there was a clear Independent choice: economically liberal, militarily conservative, he won.
Big.
There's a lesson there. Neither party, of course, wants to learn it.
True, but another lesson is that the Democrats are better at paying lip service to military conservative voters than the Republicans are at paying lip service to economic liberals. Exceptions, like Arnold Schwarzenegger, are probably the future of American politics - as distasteful as that may sound to some here. The era of the Santorums and Brownbacks is coming to an end.

Ted K is speaking now to Deval Patrick supporters (new gov.
in Mass.) and guess who's behind him! Horseface! Lurch!
Tell us a joke John and don't botch it this time!

Despite some encouragement, I am starting to think he will lose this......that is very close.

the talk for months has been how the GOP needs to "get rid" of the social conservatives and move left to center. The moderates will step up that theme. The only lesson they learn is the exact opposite of what disgruntled conservatives want to teach them.

I voted against it here in Arizona....

But where is the democrat candidate in those numbers?
To: RobFromGa
Not if they are gerrymandered against us in 2008 and 2010 legislative cycles -- too soon to tell, but your overall point is of course valid.

so what? when the issue crystallized, and the battle lines were drawn, everybody engaged and the agenda was set.
people knew when they elected Bush, that he was not an immigration hawk - far from it.

Baronne advising Fox not to call any close races tonight. Says the absentee vote has yet to be factored in. Per interviewee on Hugh Hewitt's show.
To: Mr Rogers
Hell where else could you go where you'd have a better chance at what all of us hope for??
If this is how its going to be, we'll just have to dust off tomorrow and get to work.
To: I'm ALL Right!
Unless something drastic happens, Sue Kelly(R) will lose NY-19 to John Hall (D) of Hall and Oates fame. The CNN tally has her up by about 1,300, but it doesn't include Westchester results, where she's losing by about 5,000 with 68% reporting. I doubt the remaining Westchester, Orange and Dutchess County votes can offset that.
To: Bushbacker1
Burns leading in Granite County by a 2:1 margin.
