Please Mods can we have one central Live thread ...its tough jumping from thread to thread to get results.
Sodrel defeated in Indiana - another Democrat pickup.
G F Allen Republican 1,045,714 49.83%
J H Webb Jr Democratic 1,027,573 48.97%
Casey is an empty suit without the suit, a null and void airhead who conducted a stealth campaign because he was afraid to let everyone see what an idiot he is (and of course the MSM cooperated to protect him). What a travesty for my former home of PA to elect that vacuum over a good conservative like Santorum. Doesn't look so good for Weldon or Irey, either, though I don't know enough about those counties and precincts to know if the votes being reported are representative. If Sandy Burglar's puppet Sestak manages to knock off Weldon I'll be even more pissed, and I really can't stand that the wonderful Diane Irey could lose to a corrupt and decadent turkey like Murtha.
"And the very people who were helped by NCLB and the RX enhancement no doubt voted Dem."
You cannot buy friends. It's an old lesson the Republicans obviously never learned.

I will say it again.
The Republican old guard stabbed Blackwell in the back.
Taft and Voinovich types refused to help Blackwell.
There was no united Republican effort in Ohio to help Blackwell.
You're precisely right. If they control, they will actually have to DO something. And I'm quite certain that when the electorate hears exactly what they want to DO, there will be some consternation.
"All politics is local" - Tip O'Neil
This is true in Ohio. Taft killed us and ads tarring us with him killed us. Nothing about Iraq AT ALL.

Bill Kristol think Allen will pull it out, said it would be hard for Webb to make up the difference now
It seems a little strange though since the media's been saying all along how Steele was doing excellent among African-Americans.

Hugh Hewitt is giving some up to date and refereshingly optimistic projections and guest Mark Steyn is up next.
Thought some of you might need a positive boost.
There are quite a few Muslims in Virginia now, correct? How much are they in play?
Smith in NH was declared the loser. He won!!!!!
Mark Steyn says this is a typical 6-year election, with the opposition party underperforming compared to most six-year elections.
"Santorum has just given his concession speech. It was a wonderful speech. He is such a class act. No bitterness...just gratitude for his life so far.
I wish him and his family a beautiful and prosperous future, no matter what he chooses to do."
Amen.
James Carvill doesn't seem too cheery tonight.
;-)
What time is it? I guess I missed something. Someone let me know if I am late in knowing the election results. I didn't realize I was attending a funeral when I logged in to FR tonite.
I just turned it over to the Food Network. TV coverage is ridiculous, outrageous, and the worst thing to ever happen to US election procedures.
