FWIW, the turnout in our town here in Vermont was very high, and mostly Democrat as usual. But we had some local issues that may be bringing people out.
Still, I think the Dems are pumped up and angry. So we just have to hope that the Republicans are MORE pumped up and angry.

Talked to some of the poll workers where I voted, (Villa Rica) they said turn out had been heavy till lunch time,
I voted at 4:30, took me a half an hour and by the time I was done, the lines had doubled.
Go GOP!

Turn on Foxnews and see Chris Wallace. It was about Exit Polls. Chris says just as in 2004, there are problems with the exit polls. Internal problems that should make people take them with a grain of salt.
What he said was it does not look good for us right now. So what else is new. I do not want to go into details because these polls are contradicting themselves... in other words they are wrong.

Rove was on Hannity and basically said the exit polling would be crap. Ignore it.

I'm just not feeling good about this...in 2004, I just knew everything I was hearing was wrong...but this year, I have a bad, bad feeling...the media's message was just too loud and too strong. I'm usually a pretty optimistic sort. But I just don't have a good feeling about this one.

Major Garrett reporting Hastert's office has warned GOPers that the loss is 30 seats.

Interesting thing about both Vermont, my native state, and Hawaii, where I've lived for thirty years: Both very blue but both have republican governors.

I don't get it with this exit-polling. I heard they weren't going to do so this year UNTIL 5 p.m. ET. So what help is that - the polls are open til 8 p.m. in most states. Why do it at ALL while the polls are still open.]
Can anyone explain this?

Major Garrett reporting Hastert's office has warned GOPers that the loss is 30 seats.I must have missed that. I wonder what he is basing that on?
