Post results here! Thanks!
Moose, where are you getting your numbers?
Fox has called VA-09 for Boucher. With 26% reporting, they have him up 31969 to 15088.
Interesting.
1% reporting doesn't mean much, but it's better then nothing.
So to recap the night so far, the Dems have picked up one House seat and that is it. Does anyone have any other pickups from either side?
Ah well, 2 more years of the idiot...
Does not look good for Allen, but its not yet lost. Does anyone know if all the absentee ballots are counted OR are they counted after the poll is closed?
Allen ran a terrible campaign, according to some the worst they have every seen by a sitting Senator.
It will be a shame if he loses...and right now its not real positive.
What Congressional district is Arlington in? Moran right? That district is almost at a 50% report rate
"A man after my own heart! What's your take on Knob Creek?"
I have never drunk Knob Creek. Is it as good as the Mark?
Absentees and provisionals are counted last.
Old numbers--gotta keep watching, Allen is almost 20k votes up
Absentees are counted after the precincts
According to Channel 10, still:
US House District 9 -- 67 of 332 precincts reporting (20%)
Bill Carrico (R) [R] 54%
Rick Boucher (D) [D] 46%
See, I am not, like Virgil Goode, presently smoking Weed.
*it's a 5th District joke, guys.
Anyone hear about Ehrlich or Steele in Maryland?
Yes, Arlington County is Jim Moran territory. He also has Reagan National Airport, which he refuses to call "Reagan".
Thanks for that info, Corin. Oh man, we could be in for a long wait, if this race stays as tight as it is now...
I don't understand how The Idiot keeps getting elected. Although I will say that his Rep opponent was an unknown and didn't really campaign - no advertising whatsoever for example. They have gerrymandered this district well and good!
It would be nice if everyone used party designations for the candidates. Everyone knows Allen and Webb but some of the House races are pretty obscure.
From the State Board of Elections website.

God bless Firefox...FR up in one tab, SBE up in another, cuttin' and pastin' like a mofo. :)
They've got a link back up where I can pull up one locality at a time...seeing some interesting stuff. Fairfax County is 75% reported already, so that's one Webb vote mine gone. The bad part is, with 12% in, Webb's got a slight lead in Loudoun.
