Live from CNN's Blogomania at Tryst 11/07 05:00 PM CNN's setup is wild - lots of folks whose faces you vaguely recognize, then lots of folks whose blog you recognize. Avarosis is here - whatever you think of his blog, he's a true gentlemen. He and Krempasky and Jerome Armstrong are all sitting near each other. They may talk to the bloggers around 7ish. Every indicator I have says the GOP base turned out. Whether that's enough to hold the House isnt clear; it ought to mean some good news in the Senate races. We're going to see what happens when the GOP base turns out in a tough year; if nothing else, the Republicans have pretty much shot the 40-50-60 seat gain talk all to hell.
Turnout in Virginia is way up; but they didn't have a very contested race in 2004, they did this year. Some precincts were at 80 percent of 2005 shortly after noon. The good news for Allen is that the turnout is as big in Southwest as in the Northern D.C. suburbs.
An exciting night ahead of us...
FNC
Ping! :-)
Anybody notice if Shep on FNC is actually pro-Republican today? I just saw him a bit ago as I was flipping and he was ripping the Democrat on today.
You're right... I never trust those two as non-bias reporters.
Go to Drudge;s site as you will see the Capitol Bldg. tilted in a certain direction.
I read awhile back that he is conservative. Someone I believe posted here that they knew him and said he is a southern boy with conservative leanings. Of course, I do not know him so consider it heresay.
I think it's coming down to GOTV. Who did it best.
He's an analyst for FNC. I know he was leaning Dem win in the house, but his ear will have been to the ground today. I won't blame anyone for being wrong. I think it's just too close for anyone to know.
PA was over long ago. Keeping OH was unlikely. I'm not optimistic about Allen or Steele now, which means it's all up to Talent, Burns, and Corker.
Carl and Major haven't been very supportive during this last round of elections.

So sorry for the double post. I goofed.
Hannity is reporting that the turnout for both Dems and Reps is about 32% each for locations that are being monitored. So our turnout is at least equal to that of the Rats.
Thank God that my son's wedding there was three years ago.
Is this good or bad?
We have that on our ballot in AZ as well and from what I have heard, it will go down in defeat.
I will never forget that report...he couldn't conceal his delight.
i just heard on hannity that allen is in trouble according to his sources. it made me so mad i just shut the radio off. i'm not going to listen to news or talk radio the rest of the day.
I think it's over. Between the reports of heavy voting in VA, a plea for Republican turnout in MD, and the glum look of Mehlmann on FNC minutes ago, I think that the Senate is gone. Not that I'm a Bill Kristol, but there are three omens.
My god! Are you serious? Mehlman was totally upbeat on Rush this afternoon! I just a great Rove article from last night with Hugh Hewitt!!
