You use the brokets < and > around < image src=" (the url goes here) " > only there aren't any spaces before 'image and after the last quotes.

You have to use the <img> tag.
Also, you must put the url of the image in quotes within the tags.
Like this:

<img src="http://image.url.here.jpg">
