In the past he has only done so when Democrats have falsely claimed he told his listeners to do something, such as call Congress, and so he does it to show what it would be like had he actually done it. So I was very surprised to get a call of him.
The call was encouragement to go to the polls and "support the team" and vote for Republican candidates tomorrow. He cited judge appointments, taxes, Democrat liberal agenda among other things as reasons to go to the polls tomorrow.

The telephone number here at the stoat cave is unlisted, and so I doubt that I would be able to hear Rush's call any other way than if it were to be shared by another FReeper :-(
One good tsunami could take care of California politics. Not that I wish harm on anyone mind ya but some relocating would do the trick.

Two lady callers thanked him, today, and said how surprised they were to get his call.

You are wrong. I rec'd a call from Rush this morning and my 16 year old kidlet just about had a fit when she heard his voice coming across on the answering machine.
And he said exactly what the poster said he did.

I completely understand why you'd feel that way but I did receive the call. I was surprised as well, for the reasons I mentioned in the OP.
I feel good about tomorrow knowing even Rush contributed to helping get out the vote.
