Ford had 66 vetoes and was only in office about 2 years? Guess it all depends on the Congress you have to work with.

Well, if the democrat wins, what happens then?

Lose lose all around but I'd rather have independents and dems vote him in or out, not gullable pubbies believing he's one of us.

The man showed his stripes when he ran with Gore, abandoning all his principles for the VP slot. He was unrecognizable. The "Conscience of the Senate" became a Soreloserman whiner spewing the BS about the stolen election for months afterwards. Have we all forgotten?

19. John Kerry realising the only job he's qualified for is somewhere in his wife's ketchup factory.
20. The Addams Family remake being cancelled.
21. Nurse Fuzzy-Wuzzy's on call that night.

How long can we keep this up?
Should reach 100!

No, I'd suppose it's probably a little low.

Reagan issued 78 vetoes but Truman, FDR and Cleveland issued hundreds of vetoes. Even Ike broke 150.

Drudge brought up the scanning of kids fingerprinting. I just wonder what the real reason is behind the fingerprinting of kids. They do it all the time in malls supposedly the reason is if they are kidnapped but I do not buy it. What ya think?

Spotlight: Nancy Pelosi -- waiting her turn to speak

Mrs Pelosi, 66, appears ready to put those skills to the test. "Are you ready for a great Democratic victory?" she asked a cheering crowd near Philadelphia on Saturday at a get-out-to-vote rally. [She's 'Mrs. Pelosi' when the needs fits. Kinda like how Feinstein is running "I'm a Grandma!" ads in California.]

She has been a leading critic both of President George W. Bush, whom she called "incompetent" for his handling of the war in Iraq, and her Republican colleagues. But, in spite of the pleadings of some in her party, she insists that a Democratic- controlled Congress would not move to impeach Mr Bush. [Because it's a loser proposition.]

"Democrats are proposing a new direction for all Americans, not just the privileged few," she told the crowd, ticking off an ambitious six-part plan she said a new House would adopt in its first 100 hours of work. Her "Six in '06" platform includes increasing the federal minimum wage, rolling back subsidies to oil companies, expanding stem cell research and cutting interest on student loans. [She's the new Newt Gingrich!]
