Just practicing my ululating.

Former Iraq dictator Sadaam Hussein was found guilty of genocide charges at 3 am EST, and was executed by hanging at 3:05 am EST.
He writhed and gasped for 15 minutes and twitched for another 15 minutes before being lowered and pronounced dead by attendant medical personnel at 3:35 am, EST.
Riots in the streets staged by the US Democrat party are expected within the hour.....breaking.
*bump*
It might be hard to hang around...pun intended ;)
But I'll try.
Hang the bastard high!
I hate to be the pessimist but I did watch the OJ verdict and will be forever haunted by miscarriages of justice.
Do you think there is any chance in hell of something like that happening here to the tyrant Saddam?
Fry his fat butt.
Hmmmm. Maybe a public stoning. Now THAT would be poetic justice.
I know I'm not the only one who has waited a long time for this moment. When I think of all of our military men and women, including our own son, who went into battle to topple Saddam and his regime, I can only hold out hope that justice will be served, and Saddam and his cohorts will be executed for their crimes against humanity and the world.
God bless each and every one of our military men and women who are serving right now. Not only in Iraq, but Afghanistan, S. Korea, and every other spot on the globe where tonight they are standing watch....for all of us.
I wonder if a more "creative" solution could be taken:
regardless of the verdict ( of course it will most likely be a death sentence) Saddam's continued existence as a living breathing "human" should be exploited to whatever POSITIVE effect can be squeezed from it. It should be make clear to his "supporters" ( primarily Sunnis?) that unless they forswear terroristic violence against ANYONE in Iraq, Saddam will be swiftly executed. The moment any act of terroristic violence can be traced to them, Saddam will DIE.
I think we and the new Iraqi government could live up to our end of the bargain. Do you think the Sunnis could?
I can't wait to see how both sides are going to spin this.
Is Court TV over in Iraq covering this verdict?
God bless our troops and our President George W Bush who made this act of justice possible.
I hope that President Bush will make a prime time speech tonight, Sunday, and remind people of the extremely important achievement of this Saddam verdict and remind people that the world is much better off with this man finished forever.
It would only be appropriate if they do a public hanging and play Handel's timeless song, "Hallelujah"....
Many critics have dismissed the trial as a form of victors' justice, given the close attention the US has paid to it.
Lawyers for Saddam Hussein have also accused the government of interfering in the proceedings - a complaint backed by US group, Human Rights Watch.
The former leader's lawyers have also attacked the timing of the planned verdict - days before the US votes in mid-term elections.
