BAGHDAD, Iraq - Iraq's prime minister on Saturday urged his countrymen to accept the impending verdict against Saddam Hussein without violence, then in the next breath declared the former dictator must get "what he deserves" with the decision that could send him to the gallows.

Clamp him in leg irons for years in the public square! If there is an appeal process... oh, danged, there probably is..
Oh, the perky Katie Couric, of course. Just picture her tortured face.
He has one appeal, after that he must die withing 30 days Muslim and therefore Iraqi law.
This time this can be for good.
Only if it becomes a long strange trip.
Thanks for the info
I like the sound of that, lets hope we can get this done before 2007!
Put him in the chipper...backwards
'Fargo' style..
CNN will not cover so need for an anchor. They'll be replaying a special edition of "Broken Government".

I know it has already been posted but Saddam can not be hanged enough times for all of his crimes.
Bravo!! That's a keeper, if you don't mind me photoshopping it.
They said a jovial and highly spirited Saddam chatted with them for more than three hours about the violence in Iraq and mounting U.S. losses just hours before an expected death sentence on Sunday in his trial for crimes against humanity.
That is not accurate. This judicial system is brand new & totally restructured. There were no such rights under Saddam and any purported "right to appeal" was a farce.
I'll pop another beer when the verdict comes down "HANGING!!!"
one of the commentators was lamenting the possibility that people might celebrate afterwards. "It's quite common after such (post liberation) events for people to go out and shoot their guns, and this could be quite dangerous for the people and lead to more deaths" ... so I think that will be the lead.
